If you see something on your
report that is not yours or you don't think you are responsible
for, you can dispute it.
You will need a copy of the credit report so that you can provide
an account # and creditor name. Write to the bureau and provide
your name, address, social security and tell them the situation.
Many times you can even start the dispute process over the phone
or online.
They will notify the creditor and they have 30 days to "verify"
that it is yours or it will be removed automatically.
